Case Keenum Stuns Eagles With Three Touchdowns as Bears Roll 27-7

At 38 years old and in his first start in nearly three years, Case Keenum turned Monday night into his own. The veteran quarterback threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as the Chicago Bears beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-7 at Soldier Field, according to AP.

Keenum, the Bears’ third-string quarterback, stepped in for Caleb Williams, who was sidelined by a right hamstring injury. Tyson Bagent backed him up after clearing the NFL’s concussion protocol on Sunday. Keenum finished 24 of 34 for 247 yards, and capped the night with a 1-yard touchdown plunge with 7:19 left — his first rushing touchdown since 2019 — finishing a 13-play drive that burned more than eight minutes off the clock.

“To get a shot again like this? Yeah, you dream of it,” Keenum said. “That’s why I’m still here doing this when I get knocked down. I got knocked down my whole career. I just keep getting up.”

Kalif Raymond had six receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown, including a 41-yard score that stretched Chicago’s lead to 20-7 late in the third quarter.

The Bears’ defence did the rest. Philadelphia turned the ball over three times, and Jalen Hurts was intercepted twice after briefly leaving in the second quarter to be checked for a concussion following a late hit. Hurts scored on a quarterback sneak as the first half expired, but the Eagles never scored again. Saquon Barkley was held to 82 yards on 15 carries.

The win moved the Bears to 2-1 and handed Philadelphia its first loss of the season.
