Broncos Stun Rams 30-26 in Sunday Night Thriller After Nix’s Last-Minute Dive

The Denver Broncos overturned a 16-point half-time deficit to beat the Los Angeles Rams 30-26 on Sunday Night Football, with quarterback Bo Nix lunging over the top for the winning touchdown with 47 seconds remaining, according to Reuters.

The Rams, led by Matthew Stafford’s 390 passing yards, looked in complete control at 16-0 after two quarters. But Denver’s second half was transformed by safety Talanoa Hufanga, who jumped a Stafford pass intended for Kyren Williams and returned it 66 yards for a touchdown with 4:49 left to put the Broncos ahead 23-19.

That was Stafford’s 33rd career pick-six — the most in NFL history, breaking the record he shared with Brett Favre, as reported by the New York Post.

Stafford answered with a 48-yard touchdown strike to Konata Mumpfield to retake the lead, only for Nix to march Denver down the field and dive across the goal line for the deciding score. Hufanga then intercepted Stafford in the end zone on the final play to seal the victory.

Nix finished 17 of 34 passing for 186 yards with two touchdown passes and one interception, while Stafford ended with 390 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. The win lifted Denver to 2-1 and dropped the Rams to 1-2; it was also Denver’s 10th consecutive victory against NFC opponents.
